The location was perfect, so close to downtown restaurants/shopping and the beautiful nature trail by the water. The grounds are beautiful, with lovely places to sit on the outside and amazing urban gardens. The living room was warm and cozy and the staff was very helpful...
The hardest part of the Inn is something they can't control and that is the outside noise, I had read about it in advance but figured it couldn't be that bad, (it doesn't seem that bad during the day) but at night it was very noise including fireworks at 4:00am. They supply earplugs and we both used them and it helped. I would not let it deter anyone from staying there it was a lovely place.....

Thoroughly enjoyed to be here, the hotel was reasonably clean and stylish, the location was incredible and stunning near downtown. Our room was themed and fairly quiet with 2 twin beds. The property was located in the heart of the city.

The location is very convenient to restaurants, the trains station, and tours. View is great.
Not a real breakfast - expanded continental - in no way deluxe as advertized.

The Copper Whale Inn was a very friendly and comfortable place to stay. We particularly liked the informal and relaxed atmosphere. It is also in a great location - right next to the Tony Knowles Trail, good views over Cook Inlet, and walking distance to everything in downtown Anchorage.

Enjoyed the local ambience of the place and is not a chain hotel. Friendly and helpful staff for out of towners.
The room was difficult to get to with bags (narrow staricases), but had a great view.
